Daniel A. This was my first time switching to a gourd from a stainless steel mate. I can highly recommend for anyone curious, so much easier to build and maintain a mountain. The flavor is also surprising, almost no bitterness which was unexpected. Curing can be a bit time consuming, but the instructions were very clear and easy to follow.
