Packed extremely well. Every single pack is airtight for maximum shelf life. I have a terrible maté habit and so I bought a 10-pack. I've only opened one pack, but the leaf size is perfect and consistent - just large enough to allow unrestricted flow through the bombilla (filtered maté straw) but small enough to maximize surface area for steeping. There is ZERO dust or stems which is a sign of true care and craftsmanship. The flavor is very mellow - obviously not smokey - and because it's aged, it lacks the bright, citrusy zing of fresh maté leaf. It's so mellow that I was even able to leave my gourd filled with leaf and water in the fridge overnight and it still wasn't bitter in the morning. I also did a cold brew (40g leaf. 32oz H2O. 10 hours in fridge @ 34°F) and it came out fantastic! Smooth flavor, energetic, and not bitter. I mixed it with pomegranate juice (Ratio = 5 Maté : 1 Juice) and it was beautiful *chef's kiss*. After I run through 11 lbs of maté I'm definitely coming back for more. I'm really happy I found this company. I've had experiences with other companies where the last quarter of the bag was almost completely dust and would both clog my bombilla and bypass the filter. Rating: 11/10 because it's perfect and I'm relieved that I have no complaints.

Exactly what I was looking for! I really love you the range of maté styles available. I prefer no dust or stems and was surprised to find a green and aged version of the dame cut, so I bought both!

Up until now I I've preferred Rosamonte for the flavor, but it's smoked and we drink a ton of máte. We've tried a number of types (Guayakí, Itapuá, Cruz de Malta, Rosamonte, Kiss Me Organics, Tucanguá, Santa Catarina Organic not-aged) and this stuff isn't smoked, but has a great, leafy flavor similar to the Kiss me Organics and Rosamonte, and is nearly only leaves. This is my new favorite for loose leaf brews.
