Laura K. Honestly I haven’t tried this mate. The idea is clever for traveling. However, I put a few pouches in my suitcase and it stunk up the entire suitcase. It has such a strong odor that I am wondering if it is rancid. I was afraid to take it with me in case DEA thinks it’s illegal. I have been drinking mate basically all my life and it should not smell like this.
