The journey starts with meticulous soil preparation to ensure the selected plants thrive and reach optimal growth. These plants are cultivated with great care, completely free from chemicals and fertilizers throughout planting, growth, and harvest. During harvesting, strict hygiene is maintained, including cleaning tools and careful handling by workers. The fresh leaves are then transported in sanitized trucks to the processing facility. There, they undergo sapecado—brief exposure to 400°C heat to lock in color and quality—followed by pre-drying and drying on belts at 70–90°C to fully dry the leaves and stems.
