Great, balanced flavor

This is the first yerba mate that I ever found in a store Pennsylvania 20 yrs ago. It was a scratch and dent grocer and the single kilo they had was only a dollar! I was so excited to try this beverage that I heard about in Patrick Obrien's Master and Commander book series. I always enjoy it when I get to revisit this mate. The sample is nice because it's a bit pricey otherwise and I can only get two or three refills before it's lavado. I love the flavor though! While the package has changed, the flavor still seems the same to me.
