Julian F. Rosamonte Especial is the first bag of yerba mate I bought 5 years ago after I discovered the tradition on a wilderness expedition (our instructor made mate and passed it around). This mate is a fine red wine, compared to others that are more like a gas station malt liquor or grape juice. Not that any mates are truly bad, but Rosamonte Especial is so clearly a standout.

Artie Great Yerba Mate and very best of the Rosamonte product line. A must have on the shelf for all YM drinkers. Great taste, creamy smooth, high durability. I could go on but I think I said enough.

Ariel C.C. To my taste, it is a great yerba mate, and one of my favorite: slightly smoky, fine homogeneous ground with little dust. Its smooth flavor endures easily a full round (0.5 liter of water). I usually alternate my mate drinking between Rosamonte Especial and its traditional counterpart. Both are just excellent choices for the casual or the everyday mate drinker.
